Review: The name of the wind by Patrick Rothfuss

I’m at a loss for words with this one. I really don’t know what to say and where to start.

The name of the wind is about a man called Kvothe. His name is well-known as he grows to be the most notorious wizard his world has ever seen. The story starts when Kvothe was just a little kid. He lived with his parents in a troupe of travelling players. That’s when Kvothe encounters Abenthy on the road. An arcanist. Abenthy becomes Kvothe’s teacher. But then something terrible happens and Kvothe is on his own. His dream was to get into the university and the archives. After spending years as an orphan in a terrible and dangerous city, he makes his way to the university. He gets admitted and a lot of great adventures begin from there on. Continue reading
